Natasha Negovanlis (born April 3, 1990) is a Canadian actress, singer, and writer. She is best known for playing the title role in the web-series ''Carmilla''. ==Career== Negovanlis began studying voice performance at the Schulich School of Music at McGill University in 2009. However, unhappy with the rigidity of the opera world, she decided to leave school during her third year to pursue her acting career, and four days after dropping out, she was cast in a professional musical. For this role, she was nominated in 2012 on BROADWAYWORLD.COM for Best Female Performance in a Featured Role. In 2014, Negovanlis appeared in the short film ''The Way We Are''. Later that same year, she was cast as the title role in the web-series ''Carmilla''. In the series, which is based on the 1871 novella of the same name, Negovanlis portrays the vampire Carmilla, who appears after her roommate's previous roommate suddenly vanishes. On December 9, 2014, a second season of the series was announced and began and concluded filming in May 2015. The second season currently airs on the VervegirlTV channel on YouTube. As of June 2015, she became a contributor to AfterEllen, a lifestyle website for queer women. AfterEllen also named her one of the "Top Twenty Wittiest and Prettiest Tweeters of 2014" and she placed #5 on their "Hot 100" list of sexiest women chosen by women in 2015.〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://www.afterellen.com/tv/450171-results-2015-afterellen-hot-100/17 )〕 In 2016, she will appear alongside Elise Bauman in her first feature film, ''(Almost Adults )''.
